Robert L. Freeman, 90, of DeWitt, passed away December 1, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War.
Robert enjoyed hiking, camping and backpacking. He was a Boy Scout leader and an avid volunteer to help others.
He was predeceased by his wife, Janet in 2005, his brother, Dennis and his niece, Melissa.
He is survived by his children, Scott (Margaret) Freeman and Tara Warren, his grandchildren, Angela Freeman (Sam Donnelly), Christian Freeman (Emily Tiberio), Julia Freeman (Dan Ostaszewski) and Matthias Freeman, a great granddaughter, Lucy Donnelly and a nephew, Michael Freeman.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4-6pm at Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc., 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse with a service to follow at 6pm at the funeral home. Burial in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
