Robert E. Perrine

Robert Edward Perrine, 77, of Liverpool, NY passed away on Saturday, October 10. 

Robert was born on April 3, 1945 to Jenny and Harry Perrine in Syracuse, NY.  He attended North Syracuse schools and MVCC where he studied civil engineering. Bob worked in the construction/civil engineering field for 50 years at O’Brien and Gere Engineers, Calocerinos and Spina Engineering and concluded his career as a partner and general superintendent at JJ Lane Construction Inc.  

Robert is survived by his wife, Rosalind, his children, Matthew (Marlene), Jesse (Amanda) and Travis; his grand-children Tianna (Zack), Alexander, Zachary & Isabella and great-grandchild, Luca.  He is also survived by his sister Carol Parsons and brother Harry Perrine and several nieces and nephews.  

Bob enjoyed life to the fullest and was always looking for his next adventure.  He was a proud US Marine and loved his USMC tattoo.  He raced enduro bikes for many years, was a member of the Selkirk Yacht Club and enjoyed racing sailing boats on Lake Ontario. 

Bob and his iconic 56 Chevy were regulars on Hot Rod Power Tours and Drag Week.  Beyond Bob’s personal achievements on the racetrack, the highlight of his racing career was crewing with Jeff Lutz Race Cars.  He loved it.  He loved racing and all the wonderful people that he met on the circuits, they were his family away from home. Bob always said “you gotta have a story,” and he had a million.  

The only thing Bob loved more than racing was his family.  No matter how far or the time of day, he never missed an opportunity to see his children’s and grandchildren’s activities or sporting events.  He was their biggest fan.  He was a very proud father and grandfather.  

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 15, 2022 at Liverpool First Presbyterian Church, 603 Tulip St, Liverpool, NY at 1:00pm.
