Robert Sweeney Obituary

Robert W. Sweeney, 87, of East Syracuse, passed away on Thursday April 15, 2021 at home. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean, who passed away eleven days prior on Easter Sunday April 4, 2021. Bob and Jean had a wonderful marriage and are truly inseparable.

Robert was born on June 30, 1933 in Greig, NY, the son of William and Ruth (Plato) Sweeney. He was a graduate of General Martin School in Glenfield, NY and of the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago. He worked as a District Service Manager for Whirlpool Corporation for several years and then as a sole proprietor from 1975 until his retirement. Bob loved golfing, bowling and family gatherings at home. Bob and Jean enjoyed traveling. He is survived by sons, Gary (Kelly) Sweeney, Brian Sweeney and Bruce (Jodie) Sweeney; grandchildren, Anthony, John, Cate, Shannen, Bobby and Daniel and one great grandchild.

Memorial services and burial will be private and there will be no calling hours.
