Rosina C. (Foti) Skurpski, of East Syracuse, passed away at home on October 9, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Rosina loved gardening with her husband Hank, and sharing large family meals with all that would attend; a weekly tradition. She was the embodiment of a true Italian wife, mother and grandmother - loving , caring and above all else, known for her meatballs and sauce. Rosina truly was a benevolent and kind person, always eager to reach out and help those in need. She was a loyal communicant at St. Matthew's Church in East Syracuse for decades.
Rosina was predeceased by her brother, Angelo Foti, father, Giovanni and mother, Nunziata.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 wonderful years, Henry Skurpski; eight children, Anne (Patrick) Schell, Alan Skurpski (Brenda), Gregory Skurpski, Stephen Skurpski (Maryann), Paul (Lea) Skurpski, Tina (Christopher) Krupa, Henry (Jennifer) Skurpski and Rose Marie (Francisco) Cruceta; along with 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, John Foti of Sterling, VA and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 8:30 am in Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, Inc. and 9am in St. Matthew's Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday from 4-7pm at the funeral home, 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse.
