Shauna A. McDonald

Shauna McDonald, 59, passed away on March 26, 2022, at St. Joesph's Hospital in Syracuse, after a long bout with COPD.

She left behind her partner of 21 years, Vern Schmidt of North Syracuse, her sister Wendy Pieper of Connecticut, three adult stepchildren, Crystal Schmidt & Adam Schmidt both from Liverpool, Sara Baker from Clay, and several nieces and nephews living in California.

Shauna was born on February 5,1963, to Harold and Leona McDonald of Worcester, Massachusetts. After graduating from Burncoat High School in Worcester, she moved to Syracuse and was employed as a cafeteria cashier at the New Process Gear factory and spent 10 years as the Concession Manager at the ESTA Safety Park Drag Strip in Cicero. Shauna finished her career as a production assistant at the Village Cleaners in North Syracuse.
Shauna enjoyed her wine and Scooby Doo cartoons and had an extensive collection of Scooby memorabilia. She was a high average bowler and enjoyed league and tournament play. 

Shauna hated going to calling hours and funerals, so there will not be any.

A celebration of life party is being planned for a future date.
