Theresa B. (Donigan) Kenny

Theresa Bridget Kenny (née Donigan), 94, of East Syracuse, died July 26, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Syracuse to Joseph Donigan and Frances (McGarry) Donigan, she was a graduate of St. Vincent de Paul High School. Prior to her marriage, she worked as a secretary for the Travelers Insurance Company. She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 48 years, Paul A. Kenny; her siblings John Donigan, Thomas Donigan, Ann Donigan, Mary McDermott, and Marcella Ryan; and her daughter-in-law, Lee Ann (Micaroni) Kenny.

She is survived by her five children, Colleen Kenny-Kuk (William Kuk), Daniel Kenny (Amber Kenny), Thomas Kenny (Jill Kenny), Maureen Straight (Douglas Straight), Patrick Kenny (Maria Kenny), her fourteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law, and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

Her funny stories, original sayings, spot-on impressions, sense of humor and love of family will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A Funeral Mass will be held on August 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, East Syracuse, where Theresa was a communicant for more than 60 years. Calling hours are 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Theresa's memory may be made to the Food Bank of CNY.
