Vincent C. Stevenson

Vincent C. Stevenson, 51, of East Syracuse, passed away October 18, 2021. Born in Syracuse, he was the current Director of EAVES Ambulance, East Syracuse. He was also formerly employed with TLC, Crouse Hospital's ER , and was a former member of East Syracuse Fire Dept. He is predeceased by his father Keith , stepfather, Robert and stepson Kenneth Cullen.   

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Stephanie (Fink) Stevenson; his children, Jennifer, Steven, Sara and Bryan Stevenson and other "son" Tyler Harrington, his stepson, Matt (Kayleigh) grandchildren, Danika, Jadalynn and JaylaAnne  His mother, Carmine LaFleur; his siblings, Mary (Terry) Hall, Keith (Beth) Stevenson, Mark (Cherie) Stevenson, Michael (Lori) Stevenson, Carmine Stevenson Cooley, Patricia Szlamczynski-Stassi, Anthony (Jeanine) Stevenson, Steve (Icey) Stevenson, Sally Magee and Anne Paro; an outstanding number of nieces and nephews.

At the age of 14, he began his career in the fire department with the East Syracuse Junior Explorer Post.  By 18, he became a full fledged fireman with the ESFD,
and was a past  Chief of ESFD and Mattydale.  By his early 30's, he was a paramedic at EAVES, advancing to the position of Director of Operations, overseeing the complete construction of the new EAVES building on Fly Road. He was loved by many.

Please join us in celebrating his life.  Calling hours will be Thursday from 4-8pm at St. Matthews Church, 229 W. Yates Street, East Syracuse, NY. Funeral services are Friday at 10 am at St. Matthew's Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vinnie's name can be made to EAVES, 6232 Fly Rd., East Syracuse, NY 13057
