Walter Buck

Walter J. Buck, 93, of East Syracuse, passed away August 21, 2022 with his beloved family at his side. He was born in Ogdensburg, NY and was a veteran of the Korean War. Walt retired from New Process Gear in 1982 after 30 years of service and was an avid golfer and bowler. 

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years , Esther "Mary" Buck; his sister, Marietta "Jeannie" Higgins; and his brother Donald Buck. 

He is survived by his devoted wife, Elizabeth “Betty” A. Davidson-Buck; his children, Walter J. Jr (Kim) of Lutz, FL, Charles (Marcia) of Crossville, TN and Betty Jane (Lance) King of Dewitt; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; his brother, Robert Buck of Florida and sisters, Irene Sobotka of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours are Thursday from 4-7pm at the Mathewson-Forani Funeral Home, 206 Kinne St., East Syracuse, NY. Funeral service is Friday at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to Hospice of CNY.
