William J. May

William James May, 79 of Liverpool, passed away January 10, 2024. He was born in Syracuse, NY. Bill retired from S.M. Flickinger Co where he was a union steward and a member of Teamster’s Local 317. He was the first person everyone called when there was an emergency; whether it was car, home, health, or heart. Bill’s greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends on his boat and island.

He was predeceased by his parents William and Mary (Berardi) May, and recently his brother-in-law Arthur Smith. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Rose (Bombardo) May, his son Brian May, his daughter Robin (John) Beel, and his siblings: Barbara Smith, Sherri (Charles) Moe, Cindy Baker, and Robert (Susan) May. Bill is also survived by his grandchildren: Mary Kate, Shannon, Payton, and Trevor Beel.

Family and friends are invited to a mass that will be held at St. Augustine's Church, 7333 O'Brien Road, Baldwinsville, NY, at 10am on February 10, 2024. The mass will be live streamed on the church’s website: staugustinesparish.org . Those who wish to meet with the family prior to the mass may do so beginning at 9am. Family and Friends are invited to a celebration of Bill’s life at St. Augustine's Parish Hall from 11am -3pm. Food and beverages will be provided.
