William Renner Obituary
On Sunday October 22, 2023 William Renner, of Marcellus passed away peacefully in his sleep at Onondaga Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Minoa, NY. He is survived by his loving companion, Donna Merchant, daughters, Christen Groeling (Renner) of Bloomfield, NY, Susan Kraft (Renner) of Plano,TX, grandchildren, Alexander Dorn and Michael Kraft, brother, David Renner (Marilyn), sisters, Jeannie Edens and Nancy Renner, and several nieces and nephews.
Bill will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, sense of humor, and love of life.
Following service in the US Army in South Korea, he graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in architecture and enjoyed a long career designing many homes and commercial buildings. He also served on the Marcellus Planning Board for many years.
His many interests included antique cars, cast iron and Victorian architecture, art, music, languages, and world travel. He was a lover of animals and had respect for nature.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
